I started painting a little over a year ago, I have no formal training. I am told that since "I don"t know the rules" my painting has a very free feel to it...I can only hope that is the case! My interest is mainly in abstract at the moment. Medium used is Acrylic and Pastels. Brush work and lately paintings done only with trowel.

Abstract. Calming but energizing color....is that possible?

This painting happened when I was trying out some new paints. It was also one of those paintings that items appear in that are not necessarily planned...thus the title Blue Carrot. Love when that happens!

Early on in my painting, it seems things always went to the trees or botanical, landscape etc....I have moved away from that, but this remains one of my very favorite! I hope you enjoy it as much.
